Welcome to thebenwinding.com, because “benwinding.com” was taken! It’s a shame, really, because the Ben Winding would probably just be Ben Winding. Now I seem like I’m trying to out-Ben Winding this other guy, who’s actually a really good dude. (We messaged on LinkedIn once.) He’s an Australian kitesurfer, photographer AND engineer! I can’t talk about it.

Back to me:

• I’m an ad creative and comedy writer based in NYC

• I can’t surf, kite-surf, OR fly a kite (ok, now I’m over it)

• I love to nail a good line of copy — or punchline, when appropriate :)

A few more fun facts:

• I fulfilled my childhood dream of being on Nickelodeon, but it wasn’t until I was 21 and at that point it was kind of weird

• I wrote the caption for every single one of my friend’s Instagrams in 2019 and called it “pro bono” work (true tho)

• I guess I’d have to say my biggest fear is being microwaved! Thanks for asking

• I won the Wisconsin State Tennis tournament in doubles in 2012, and have since forgotten how to play entirely 🙃 — EDIT: got back in the game and am CRUSHING dads 😎
